As for adult life, if you can do the job your asked to do then why not wear cooler clothing. There are some jobs where you can't but those boys haven't chosen to do those jobs.  I think the boys were absolutely right to protest peacefully in this way. They had asked to wear shorts which was a reasonable request. Plenty of companies allow men to wear smart shorts during hot days. My postman wears shorts all year round. These boys are learning about the art of negotiation and equal rights. Well done lads. I don't have a problem with this. They didn't leave school property, destroy anything or hurt anyone with making their point.
