I’m not sure where this teacher was raised but apparently, she wasn’t raised to respect her elders I was raised to say ma’am and sir and would get corrected real quick if I didn’t! Kudos to the Mother for standing up to the teacher. A couple of weeks later, my Mom was summoned to a meeting in the principal's office. She was told I was being disrespectful to the Teacher skull I’ll just wait until it’s quiet shirt teacher. When Mom asked how the elderly teacher said that every time I addressed her it was either. It didn't take long for my sweet, Southern Lady mother to straighten out things explaining that is how we were taught from birth. The principal was mortified and apologetic. I was instructed to continue acting as I was taught. I remember feeling so stunned that my teacher reacted to me that way.
